Once again, the Kingston Artsfest in The Poetry Tent was an incredible event. Everything from the official launch of More Than a Gathering, which is a compilation of poems gathered from the previous year’s festival readings (2023), to the afternoon reading alongside Ron Chase, Sue McMaster, Callista Markotich and Doris Fiszer. Bruce Kauffman, as always, spectacular 🥰

What a night of poetry! Five award-winning Ottawa poets reading from their debut collections. This was a much anticipated and long-awaited event as this was the first in-person reading that the poets could perform due to the Pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns.
For me this was the event of the year! We had an incredible amount of publicity for a poetry event, with an article in The Ottawa Citizen and an amazing interview with Susan Johnston on the Friday Blend CKCU https://cod.ckcufm.com/programs/158/info.html.
An incredible evening of poetry at Novel Idea, Kingston, Ontario. Such an honour to read alongside Claudia Coutu Radmore, Meg Freer and Kate Kristiansen – what a delight to be at Kate’s first ever reading 🙂 Thank you, thank you, thank you to Oscar, Joanna and Nicola for organizing such a wonderful, warm and welcoming evening on what was a very rainy night! Thank you to everyone who came to support – it was lovely to meet and make new friends (loved chatting with you, Neil) and thank you, thank you, thank you to my dear, dear Penny and Anna Marie for making it an all day event!
